Afghanistan managed to record a sharp victory by 3 points in the third and final T20 match today, marking the end of the tournament held against Sri Lanka by the touring Afghanistan team.

However, Sri Lanka, who won both the first matches of the tournament, had won the tournament even before the start of today's match.

Afghanistan won the toss in that match and decided to score first and accordingly they scored 209 runs at the end of the scheduled 20 overs losing only 5 wickets. In response, Sri Lanka managed to score only 206 runs for 6 wickets at the end of 20 overs.

Kusal Mendis was dismissed for 16 runs as Sri Lanka's first wicket while Kusal Perera became the second wicket without scoring a run. Pathum Nissanka, who scored his 10th half-century in his T20 career, unfortunately left the field due to a leg injury while scoring a quiet 60 runs. Vanidu Hasaranga was out for 13 runs. Sadheera Samarawickrama scored 23 runs and Angelo Mathews fell for 4 runs.Kamidu Mendis, who launched a fighting innings, scored an unbeaten 65 and Dasun Shanaka was out for 13 runs.
