Sri Lanka managed to record a 9-wicket victory in the T20 World Cup Super 12 match between Sri Lanka and the Ireland.

The Irish team, who won the toss and batted first, scored 128 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

Mahish Thiekshana took 2 wickets, Vanindu Hasaranga took 2 wickets and Binura Fernando, Lahiru Kumara, Dhananjaya de Silva and Chamika Karunaratne took one wicket each for the Sri Lankan team.

In reply Sri Lankans passed their winning target in the 15th over while losing 1 wicket.

In batting, Dhanajaya de Silva scored 31 runs, Kusal Mendis scored an unbeaten 68 runs and Charit Asanka scored 31 runs.
