Yesterday (9th), Sri Lanka was able to win by 8 wickets in the third test match of the Sri Lankan team's tour of England. 
However, England won the first two matches of this 3-match series and won the series 2-1.
Accordingly, when the day started yesterday, Sri Lanka, who were playing the second innings, scored 94 runs for one wicket. However, when Sri Lanka scored 14 runs on the day, Kusal Mendis left the field as the second wicket. Kusal could score only 39 points.
Angelo Mathews, who then joined Pathum, built a 111-run partnership for the third wicket and took Sri Lanka to victory.Pathum Nissanka scored the second century of his Test career (127 not out) and Angelo Mathews scored 32 not out. However, Pathu's innings recorded in 124 balls was colorful with 13 fours and 2 sixes.
Also, this chase went down in history as the biggest chase by an Asian team in a Test match at this stadium.
