Sri Lankan fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera, who suffered leg injury in the preliminary round of the World Twenty20, has to undergo surgery in Australia.
Chameera, who suffered an ankle injury
in the recent match with the United Arab Emirates, missed all the remaining
matches of the t20 World Cup. It is also reported that due to this injury,
Chameera is scheduled to undergo a surgery on the 29th.
According to cricket sources, Mark
Blakney, an orthopedic surgeon in Melbourne, will perform the surgery.
Also, Chameera was suffered a minor leg
injury after the World Cup, but due to the worsening of the injury, he has to
face the related surgery on the 29th.
