The first ever Physically Challenged Champions Cup T20 cricket tournament is scheduled to be held from Sunday (12th) at the Katunayake Free Trade Zone Stadium.

Accordingly, in the opening match, Sri Lanka is going to play against the England team and the match will start tomorrow at 10.00 am. After that, Sri Lanka will face Pakistan on the 13th and the match between Sri Lanka and India is scheduled to take place on the 15th.The next match that Sri Lanka faces in the preliminary round is against England on the 16th, while the match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka is scheduled to be held on the 18th and the match between India and Sri Lanka is scheduled to be held on the 19th.
However, the final match between the first and second place teams in the preliminary round will be held on January 21 at 1.00 pm at the Katunayaka Free Trade Zone Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan squad to join this tournament had been announced recently. The 15-member squad is headed by Reginald Udugama. Dulan Priyashanta is scheduled to act as the vice-captain.
Also, this is the first time that an international para sports tournament will be held in Sri Lanka. Apart from that, it is also special that all the matches of this tournament are planned to be broadcasted live.
However, it is a pity that no local sponsor has joined hands with the Sri Lanka Physically Challenged Cricket Association for this tournament.Also, for the training activities of the Sri Lankan team and the organization of the tournament, the association has to depend only on the money given by Sri Lankans abroad.
