Dimuth has decided to retire from the Test field

It is reported that former Sri Lanka Test captain Dimuth Karunaratne has decided to bid farewell to the Test field.

Accordingly, it is said that the second test cricket match between Sri Lanka and Australia in the Vaughan-Murali Trophy starting tomorrow will be the last test match in which Dimuth will play. Also, it will be the 100th Test cricket match played by Dimuth Karunaratne.
Meanwhile, it is special that Dimuth has decided to say goodbye to inter-club league cricket matches with this decision.Colombo NCC from 14th to 16th of this month. During the New Zealand cricket team's tour of Sri Lanka in 2012, Dimuth won the Test mandate for Sri Lanka for the first time.Then in 2019, Dimuth Karunaratne became the captain of the Sri Lankan Test team during the South African tour of the Sri Lankan team.
In addition, Dimuth has played 50 one-day international cricket matches for Sri Lanka.With a century and 11 half-centuries, Dimuth has scored a total of 1316 runs.
