17-year-old Russian player Mira Andreeva recently won the women's singles title at the 2025 Indian Wells tennis tournament.
It was notable that Andreeva won the trophy by defeating world number one tennis player Anya Sabalenka in the final.
Although Sabalenka managed to win the first set 6-2, the 17-year-old Andreeva, who posed a strong challenge to the world number one tennis player in the second set, won that set 6-4. Andreeva, who followed an aggressive style of play in the decisive third set, won it 6-3.
Accordingly, it was 17-year-old Russian player Mira Andreeva who won the match 2-1. Mira Andreeva made history by becoming the youngest tennis player to win the women's singles title at the tournament since Serena Williams in 1999.
