Unbeaten Dharmapala College Pannipitiya advanced to the final round as group champions of their group by winning all 4 of their matches in the first round of the Under-19 Girl’s Division Two Inter Schools Cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and sponsored by Sri Lanka Cricket. S

kipper and right-hand opener Chushadi Kaushalya was in amazing form in all 4 matches. She scored an unbeaten 264 runs in 124 balls with 28 boundaries and 4 sixes against Convent of Our Lady of Victories Moratuwa, and was involved in an unbroken 343 runs stand for the first wicket with Pramodya Yashmini (23*). She then scored 145 runs in 98 balls with 21 boundaries against Sri Sumangala MV Kelaniya, and another 145 runs in 67 balls with 24 boundaries and 2 sixes against Ananda Maha Vidyalaya Kottawa. However, she could only manage 56 runs in 35 balls against Dharmaraja MV Mampe.

Chushadi scored 610 runs in 4 matches with a double ton, 2 centuries and a half century and maintained a 203.33 average. She also claimed 7 wickets in the 4 matches with her leg spin, while Vidara Vishmani, right arm off spinner, claimed 11 wickets for 80 runs.
