It is reported that the Afghanistan cricket team is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka in June to participate in a one-day international tournament.

Sri Lanka-Afghanistan tournament is planned to be held as a preparation for the 2023 ODI World Cup qualification tournament in which Sri Lankan team is to participate. It is said that the discussions between the Sri Lanka Cricket and the Afghanistan Cricket Board have already been completed.

Reports also state that 3 or 5 one-day matches are scheduled to be held here and the final decision has not been taken regarding the venues.

Accordingly, this Sri Lanka and Afghanistan ODI series is scheduled to be held at the first week of June.
