It is reported that the services of a nutritionist and a psychiatrist are to be obtained for the Sri Lankan cricket team during the one-day series against Afghanistan.

This step has been taken according to a proposal of Sri Lanka Cricket Medical Committee Chairman Mr. Arjuna De Silva. According to cricket sources, this appointment has been made because the cricket authorities and national team head coach Chris Silverwood have agreed to the proposal.

According to this decision, Dr. Harshan Amaratunga will be the Sri Lankan team's nutritionist and Dr. Fadian Perera will be the psychiatrist for the series against Afghanistan.
