The Sri Lankan team was able to record a huge victory of 132 runs in the second ODI with Afghanistan.

Sri Lanka won the toss and batted first and scored 323 runs for 6 wickets at the end of 50 overs.

Kusal Mendis scored 78 runs, Dimuth Karunaratne scored 52 and Sadheera Samaraviknarama scored 44 for Sri Lanka. Dhananjaya de Silva scored 29 runs not out and Wanidu Hasaranga scored 29 runs not out while Dasun Shanaka scored 23 runs.

Fareed Ahmed and Mohammad Nabhi took 2 wickets each while bowling for Afghanistan.

In reply, Afghanistan scored only 191 runs in 42.1 overs. Ibrahim Sadran scored 57 runs and Hazmatullah Shahidi scored 57 runs for Afghanistan. While bowling for Sri Lanka, Dhananjaya de Silva and Wanidu Hasaranga took 3 wickets each. Dushmantha Chameera took 2 wickets while Mahish Thiekshana and Dasun Shanaka took one wicket each.

Dhananjaya de Silva won the man of the match award.
