Sri Lanka A lost by 4 wickets in the first ODI between South Africa A and Sri Lanka A.

The match held at Pallekele International Stadium, Kandy. Sri Lanka A team batted first 264 runs scored at the end of 50 overs. South African A team played the reply inning and won the match by losing only 6 wickets in 41.1 overs.

For Sri Lanka A Janith Liyanage scored an unbeaten 76 runs while Nishan Madushka scored 68 runs. Sahan Arachchige got 22 runs from and 15 runs from Dunit Vellalage. Luto Sipamla took 3 wickets while bowling for the South African A team.

Devald Bervis scored 98 not out for South Africa A team. Keegan Pietersen scored 42 runs. While bowling for the Sri Lankan A  team, Dilshan Madhusanka and Lakshan Sadakan took 2 wickets each while Sahan Arachchi and Dunit Vellala took one wicket each.
