The Sri Lankan team managed to win the ODI series by 2-1, between the touring Afghanistan team and the Sri Lanka.

The third and final one-day match of the one-day tournament between the two countries was held at Pallekale International Cricket Stadium.

After winning the toss and batting first, the Afghanistan managed to score only 116 runs after 22 overs. In batting, Mohammad Nabi scored 23 runs and Ibrahim Zadran scored 22 runs for the Afghanistan team.

Dushmantha Chamira took 4 wickets, Vanindu Hasaranga took 3 wickets, Lahiru Kumara took 2 wickets and Mahish Thiekshana took one wicket each.

The Sri Lankan team, who played the reply innings, managed to pass their winning target after losing one wicket at the end of 16 overs.

Pathum Nissanka scored 51 runs for the Sri Lankan team, Dimuth Karunaratne scored 56 runs not out and Kusal Mendis scored 11 runs not out.

Accordingly, the Sri Lankan team managed to win the three-match series 2-1.
