Also, cricket sources state that if he is found guilty there, he will be banned from cricket for more than 3 years. 

It has been revealed that he has used doping during a random test conducted by the Sri Lanka Anti-Doping Agency during the 2024 Sri Lanka Premier League. Accordingly, the cricket authorities took steps to impose a cricket ban against him with immediate effect until further notice.
