The first stage of the 78th annual "Bradby Challenge Cup" rugby football tournament between Royal College of Colombo and Trinity College of Kandy will be held on Saturday (24) p.m. W. 04.00 will be held at the Royal Sports Complex ground in Reed Mawatha, Colombo.
The popular annual rugby football tournament between two schools in the local school system is being run for the "Bradby Challenge Cup". The tournament consists of two stages in Colombo and Kandy where the school with the most points will be awarded the "Bradby Challenge Cup".
This year the second stage match will be held on September 7 at W. The organizers have arranged for it to be held at 04:00 at the Trinity College Stadium in Palalekele, Kandy.
In the history of 77 matches so far, Trinity College has been able to take the lead by winning more honors. Trinity has recorded 39 victories in the year and Royal College has recorded 36 victories in the season. In the year 1992 as 03 - 03 points and in 2016 as 35 - 35 points, it has ended without a win or loss twice.
