Two players representing Sri Lanka have won the gold medal in the women's doubles event in the Botswana International Badminton Tournament.

Accordingly, Hazara Wijeratne and Hasini Ambalangoda have won the women's doubles gold medal in the Botswana International Badminton Tournament.This was the first time that two Sri Lankan women players won a doubles title in an international Badminton Federation tournament.
Hasini and Hazara performed this feat by defeating two South African players by 21-18 and 22-20 in the final.

However, it is noteworthy that the two joined this Botswana International Badminton Tournament after winning the silver medal in the women's doubles event at the recently held Zambia International Badminton Tournament.
