The International Cricket Council announced today (13th) the match teams for the Under-19 Women's World Cup held in Malaysia.

According to that, it is special that a Sri Lankan cricket referee, Dedunu de Silva, is scheduled to join the judging of this year's Under-19 World Cup.
Dedunu de Silva previously served as a referee in the Under-19 Women's World Cup held in 2023. Dedunu de Silva has also represented the Sri Lankan women's national cricket team, where she has participated in 42 one-day international cricket matches and 6 twenty-20 women's cricket matches.There, she has managed to collect 884 ODI runs and 95 T20 international runs.
Similarly, Sharita Zakir is also going to join the judging activities of this year's Under-19 Women's World Cup, representing Bangladesh.Accordingly, she will go down in history as the first Bangladeshi referee to referee a Women's World Cup.
Apart from this, India's Narayan Janani and Gayatri Venugopalan will also be joining for the first time in judging the Under-19 World Cup this year.
Team members representing 14 countries are scheduled to join this tournament. It is a remarkable event that judges from Ireland, Oman, United States of America and Qatar are also included.
