Another objective of this tournament is to promote the sports tourism industry and attract foreigners who love this sport to the country in the hope of uplifting the Sri Lankan economy.
In addition to that, the Air Force Commander stated in the press conference that the Air Force has constantly worked to take Sri Lankan sports to the international level, and the presence of Air Force members even in the national golf team is a good example of that.
More than 100 local and foreign competitors have already registered for this year's tournament, and this tournament is going to be held under several categories in men's, women's, local and foreign categories.
Last year, 108 local and foreign competitors participated in the Air Force Commander's Cup golf tournament, which started in 2012.
