The Sri Lanka women's team was able to win by 76 points against Samoa in the training match of the Under-19 Women's World Cup yesterday (15th).

In this match held in Malaysia, the Sri Lanka U19 team won the toss and decided to bat first. Sri Lanka scored 114 runs in 18.2 overs.For Sri Lanka, Sumudu Nisansala scored 23 runs, Manudi Nanayakkara scored 13 runs and Aseni Talagune scored 23 runs unbeaten. Bowling for Samoa, Jane Manase took 3 wickets and Silepi Polataivo took 2 wickets.

However, the Samoan team who played the reply innings could collect only 38 runs at the end of 12.4 overs. It is special that none of the players of the Samoa state team could even reach the 10 points mark.

However, in bowling for Sri Lanka, Limansa Tillakaratne took 5 wickets, Chamudi Prabodha took 3 wickets and Asheni Talagune took 2 wickets.
