Yesterday (16th), the Sri Lankan men's team was able to record their third consecutive victory in the preliminary round of the first Kho Kho World Cup.Accordingly, the Sri Lankan team, which competed in Group C of the men's tournament, qualified for the semi-final round of the tournament. The semi-final pre-round matches are scheduled to 'start' today (17th). The tournament will be held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, India.
The fourth and final match played by the Sri Lanka men's team in the preliminary round of the tournament was held yesterday (16th) against Poland. There the Sri Lanka men's team won by 65 points. Sri Lanka defeated Poland by 105-40. Sri Lanka's men's team lost to Bangladesh in their first match of the tournament.
Yesterday (15th) Sri Lanka was able to record a 111-22 victory in the second match of the tournament. In the third match in which the Sri Lankan men's team competed, the Sri Lankan team was able to win by 91-22 points against South Korea.
