It is reported that the Sri Lanka Cricket Board election is scheduled to be held on the 31st of March.

There, this election will be held for the selection of the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute Executive Committee from 2025 to 2027. However, the call for nominations for the relevant office election ended yesterday afternoon (22nd) and it is special that 4 nominations have been submitted for the position of chairman.
Accordingly, the current Sri Lanka Cricket Board President and Asian Cricket Council President Mr. Shammi Silva, executive committee members Mr. Jayantha Dharmadasa and Mr. Samantha Dodanwela have also submitted nominations for the position of President.Also, it is a remarkable event that 56 of the 59 voting clubs in the election of the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute have proposed the name of the current president Mr. Shammi Silva as the next president.Apart from that, the name of Galle Cricket Association President Mr. Dilip Charles was also proposed for the post of President, but it has been learned that the nomination committee has rejected that name proposal.
However, if there is any objection regarding the nominations presented in this way, the opportunity has been arranged to present it to the Selection Committee tomorrow (25th) from 9.00 am to 11.00 am.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ravin Wickramaratne, Jayantha Dharmadasa and Samantha Dodanwela have submitted nominations for the post of Vice President and the current Acting General Secretary, Mr. Krishantha Kapuwatta, Mr. Samantha Dodanwela and Bandula Dissanayake have submitted nominations for the position of General Secretary.Also, for the position of treasurer, current treasurer Mr. Sujeeva Godaliyadda and Messrs. Lasantha Wickramasinghe have submitted nominations.
