FIFA  has taken steps to lift the ban on the Sri Lanka Football Federation.

The International Football Federation added that this decision was taken yesterday (27) after considering the good response of the Sports Ministry of Sri Lanka regarding the matters that had been communicated to the Sri Lanka sports authorities.

According to the letter issued by the International Football Federation, the sports authorities of the country have promised that the election of the Sri Lanka Football Federation will be held on September 29 and until then they will keep an eye on the Sri Lanka Football Federation.

FIFA suspended the membership of the Sri Lanka Football Federation on January 21, 2023.
