The Rugby President's Challenge Cup starts today

Organized by the Sri Lanka School Rugby Football Association, the "President's Challenge Cup" school knock-out rugby football tournament will begin this Saturday (30) with the match between D.S. Senanayake College and Wesley College.

August 30th and 31st semi-final matches, September 7th and 08th semi-final matches and 15th final match have been planned this year.
This is the premier knock-out school rugby football tournament organized annually by the Sri Lanka School Rugby Football Association and the undefeated champions are awarded the "President's Challenge Cup".
The number of schools that have participated in this year's tournament is 06.
Bambalapitiya St. Peter's College, Colombo Isipathana College, Mount St. Thomas College, Colombo D. Those schools are S. Senanayake College, Colombo Wesley College and Colombo Zahira College.
These schools have been named based on their performance in the league championship tournament which has been running for almost 03 months.
The Royal College of Colombo, which secured the third position in the concluded league, as well as the Kandy Trinity College, which took the fourth position, have decided to withdraw from this year's knockout series. It aims to prepare for the "Bradby Shield" competition.
