Information is being reported about a ticket racket that took place during the Sri Lanka-New Zealand T20 series being held at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium these days.

Accordingly, it has been learned that the Rs.500, Rs.1000 and Rs.2000 tickets issued by the ticket counters operated for the tournament have been bought by the smugglers and sold at higher prices to local and foreign sports fans.These smugglers sell local and foreign sports fans a ticket worth Rs.500 for Rs. 1500 and tickets worth Rs.1000 for Rs. 2000 and Rs. 2000 ticket for Rs. Sports fans say that 5000 will be applied.
Meanwhile, it is also said that on the days of the matches, some traders doing business near the stadium are doing this smuggling.
It is stated that Sri Lanka Cricket is paying special attention to stop this ticket mafia on the days of the upcoming matches and is preparing to arrest these fraudsters and hand them over to the police.
However, Sri Lanka Cricket informs sports fans to buy tickets only from the ticket window located 400 meters away from the Rangiri Dambulla stadium towards Dambulla city on match days.
