The 64th Annual General Meeting of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) concluded yesterday (31st) in Colombo. During the meeting, former president Shammi Silva was re-elected unopposed as the president of Sri Lanka Cricket for the fourth consecutive term. He will serve as the SLC president from 2025 to 2027.

Additionally, the executive committee for the relevant term was also appointed. Former vice presidents Jayantha Dharmadasa and Ravin Wickramaratne were re-elected as vice presidents, while Bandula Dissanayake was appointed as the new secretary.

Meanwhile, former treasurer Sujeewa Godaliyadda was elected as the new treasurer, while Lasantha Wickramasinghe took on the role of deputy treasurer. Former acting secretary Krishantha Kapuwatta was officially appointed as the new deputy secretary.

The election process was overseen by a five-member election committee chaired by retired Court of Appeal Judge Malani Gunaratne. Other committee members included retired Supreme Court Judge Shiromi Perera, former Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS) officers Sunil S. Sirisena, Somarathna Widhanapathirana, and C.M. Herath.
