The fifth match of the 6-match ODI series between the Sri Lanka Under-19 cricket team and the touring Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team will be held today (5th) at the 'Colombo S.S.C. P.I.'.Bangladesh Youth are currently leading the series 3-1. Accordingly, Sri Lanka Youth needs to win both of their remaining matches, including this one, to level the series.
Bangladesh Youth won the fourth match between the two countries by a massive 146 runs.This match was held at the Colombo CCC Stadium on the 3rd. Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first. Bangladesh scored 336 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 50 overs.Shawad Abrar scored 113 runs and Rizwan Hossain scored 82 runs, while Rasith Nimsara took 3 wickets and Tharusha Navodhya took 2 wickets for Sri Lanka. In reply, the Sri Lankan youth could only manage 190 runs in 38.4 overs.Wimat Dinsara scored 66 runs. Al Fahad took 3 wickets and Sanjeed Moshumbar and Azizul Hakeem took 2 wickets each.
