The Sri Lankan team participating in the World athletics Championship will not have the opportunity to leave the island today (15) as previously planned.

The reason for that is the delay in obtaining visas for the Sri Lankan team this time as well. The visa problem has been resolved yesterday (14) afternoon after all the necessary documents for the visa application for the team have been handed over.

Accordingly, after a few days, the Sri Lankan team will leave for Hungary. It is reported that it will be on the early morning flight of the 17th, which is the same flight schedule of the 15th that the tickets were previously planned for.

Many countries, including the Indian team, have already reached Hungary and started their training when the Sri Lankan team jumped the hurdle of obtaining visas.
