It is reported that the Air Force Kabaddi Association has filed a complaint with the Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission against the President and Secretary of the Sri Lanka Kabaddi Federation.
The relevant
complaint states that the Air Force Kabaddi Association has been banned for a
period of 3 years and after that the National Kabaddi Federation officials have
acted in a way that harms the reputation of Air Force Kabaddi Association
officials through electronic and print media without explaining the reasons.
The Air Force Kabaddi Association president stated that his rights were
violated due to not being given an opportunity to present his facts regarding
the Kabaddi administrative ban imposed on him.
Also, in
consideration of the disgrace and prejudice caused to him, recover a
compensation of 5 million rupees and to lift the ban imposed on his sports
club.
It has been
stated in the complaint that the President of the Air Force Kabaddi Association
had forwarded to the Human Rights Commission on the instructions of the Air
Force Commander.
However, in
a long reply, the National Kabaddi Federation authorities had stated that they
deny all the allegations leveled by the Air Force Kabaddi Association
President, and that no relief can be given regarding the imposed ban.
