Australian captain Pat Cummins will reportedly miss the Champions Trophy.

Accordingly, it is said that Cummins has to withdraw from this tournament due to an ankle related injury.However, foreign media had reported that former captain Steven Smith or Travis Head will be responsible for leading the Australian team in the 2025 Champions Trophy one-day cricket tournament.Cummins had suffered an injury during the Border-Gavaskar Test series held with India and it is said that this was caused by the severe restlessness he faced in that series. Because of this, Beau Webster is more likely to be called up for the Australian squad, the local media reported.
However, Pat Cummins did not join the currently ongoing Vaughan-Murali Trophy Test series due to personal reasons. Steven Smith was responsible for leading the Australian team.
