Accordingly, it has been alleged that the Kabaddi Selection Committee has acted irresponsibly in the relevant selection test. It has been learned that the Secretary of the Sri Lanka Kabaddi Federation has sent a special letter to the Chairman of the National Selection Committee, asking him to conduct a neutral investigation regarding the allegations and to make necessary arrangements for conducting a transparent, fair and impartial Kabaddi selection investigation.
It is also said that the participation of the players for that selection test was minimal. However, it is stated that the selection committee has failed to formally hand over the results of the selection test to the Kabaddi Federation by 7.15 that night. Accordingly, although the authorities of the Kabaddi Federation have requested to provide the final list selected for the future work related to the national squad, it is said that the members of the selection committee have left the place saying that they will provide it in the future. Accordingly, experts in the field point out that there is a doubt about the accuracy and reliability of the relevant list.
Moreover, it is mentioned in the above article that a person who has various interventions and influences for the game of Kabaddi has participated in the selection of players. Accordingly, the Sri Lanka Kabaddi Federation Secretary had pointed out in the letter that the concerned person had participated in the selection tests as well as the time of preparation of the result documents and therefore cannot be satisfied with the transparency and impartiality of this selection test.
However, it has been learned that the students were not satisfied with the process of the relevant selection test. Therefore, it is regrettable that the people responsible have failed to provide any solution to the appeals they have made in this regard.
