Sonal Dinusha, the promising young all-rounder, was handed his Test debut today during the second Test against Bangladesh at the SSC grounds in Colombo. He becomes the 170th player to represent Sri Lanka in Test cricket.
A product of De La Salle College and later Mahanama College in Colombo, Sonal has made a mark at the U19 and Sri Lanka A levels with consistent and impressive performances. His elevation to the national Test side is seen as a step forward in nurturing the next generation of cricketing talent.
