Sri Lanka A recently registered a remarkable 308-run victory in the unofficial four-day Test match between Sri Lanka A and Afghanistan A. Sri Lanka A won the toss and elected to bat first in the match held at the Abu Dhabi Stadium.
Accordingly, Sri Lanka scored 406 all out in 100.2 overs in their first innings. Lahiru Udara scored 107 runs and Sonal Dinhoosa scored 104 not out. Bashir Ahmed took 4 wickets for Afghanistan.Afghanistan, who played their first innings, were all out for 168 runs in 46.5 overs. Isitha Wijesundara took 6 wickets while Tharindu Ratnayake took 3 wickets.
Sri Lanka A, who then played their second innings, declared after scoring 376 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 79 overs. Nuwanindu Fernando scored 102 runs, captain Pasindu Suriyabandara scored 100 not out, Pawan Ratnayake scored 100 not out and Kamil Mishara scored 53 runs.
Chasing a mammoth target of 614 runs, Afghanistan entered the field for their second innings and were all out for 306 runs in 106 overs.
Darwish Rasooli scored 121 runs and Afsar Sasai scored 82 runs. Isitha Wijesundara took 4 wickets and Dilshan Madushanka, Vanuja Sahan and Tharindu Ratnayake took 2 wickets each. Isitha Wijesundara was awarded the Man of the Match award.
