The Sri Jayewardenepura Zonal Football Tournament was recently held at the Dharmapala College grounds in Pannipitiya. In the under-16 boys’ category, the championship title was secured by Asian Grammar School, while Horizon International School emerged as runners-up. Dharmapala College, Pannipitiya claimed third place.
The final match between Asian Grammar and Horizon teams ended in a draw at full time, with both sides scoring an equal number of goals. As a result, Asian Grammar School clinched the championship by winning the penalty shootout.
