The Benedict College team managed to win the Cartman Cup Test cricket tournament held recently (23-24) between St. Benedict's and Wesley College, Colombo by 46 runs. P. Batting first in this match held at the Saravanamuthu Stadium, the St. Benedict's College team was able to score 150 runs.
Steve Arshan scored 42 runs for the Benedict team and Sanitu Amarasinghe of Wesley College managed to take 4 wickets for 45 runs. The Wesley team, which entered the field for the reply innings of the Benedict team, lost 8 wickets and the innings was suspended for 122 runs. In Benedict College's wicket chart, Mevan Dissanayake and Yohan Edirisinghe shared 2 wickets each.
