England test captain Ben Stokes has to retire from cricket for 3 months.
Accordingly, Stokes will lose the opportunity to participate in any cricket activity for a period of 3 months due to a recent leg injury.Stokes suffered this leg injury during the recently concluded third Test against New Zealand.
Stokes is scheduled to undergo surgery for the injury in January.According to the announcement issued by the England Cricket Board, all his cricket-related activities will be suspended for a period of 3 months after this surgery.
However, this is the second time this year that Stokes had to leave the cricket field due to an injury.Accordingly, Stokes lost the chance to play a few matches due to a foot injury last August. Stokes also had to undergo surgery due to knee injury during the 2023 ODI World Cup.
It is also special that Stokes has been added to the England squad representing the upcoming 2025 Champions Cup.
