One of Sri Lanka’s finest all-format cricketers, Angelo Mathews, recently bid farewell to Test cricket. His final Test match was played at the Galle International Cricket Stadium during the first Test between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Following the match, the Sri Lanka Professional Sports Journalists' Association organized a special tribute ceremony in honor of Mathews’ illustrious career.

A special commemorative gift was presented to Angelo Mathews, with the President, Secretary, Treasurer, and executive committee members of the association present for the occasion. The heartfelt tribute marked the respect and appreciation held by the sporting media for Mathews’ significant contributions to Sri Lankan cricket.
