The Sri Lankan team won the second one day international cricket match with the visiting Australian team by 174 runs and won the series 2-0 today (14th).Also, this was recorded as the first time in the history of one-day international cricket that Sri Lanka won a one-day series between the two countries.

After that, Nishan Madushka and Kusal Mendis managed to build a strong relationship of 98 runs for the second wicket.The relationship was broken when Nishan left the field for 51 runs as the second wicket. Asita Fernando was able to knock out Matthew Short for 2 runs as the first wicket of Australia who entered the field to chase that challenging goal.Asita, who was in action, took Jake Fraser, who had scored 9 runs, as the second wicket. Travis Head also left the field as the third wicket for 18 runs after being bowled by Asita.  Vellalaghe was able to dismiss Josh English for 22 runs. Vanindu managed to catch Aaron Hardy before scoring.Glenn Maxwell managed to score only one run.
