The Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 cricket tournament, which was postponed due to the tense situation between India and Pakistan, is scheduled to resume from the 16th of this month, according to foreign media reports.

These reports state that under the new schedule, the IPL final is expected to be held on either the 30th of this month or the 1st of June. Citing a spokesperson from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Indian media reported that the tournament will resume with a match between the Lucknow Super Giants and the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

However, considering the current security situation in India, the remaining matches of the IPL will only be held at four stadiums. According to plans, the first and second playoff matches will be played in Hyderabad and Kolkata respectively. The final is also scheduled to be held in Kolkata, but due to expected adverse weather conditions during that period, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad has been kept as a backup venue by Indian cricket authorities.
