The 2024 All Ceylon School Games is scheduled to start from the 18th of October.
Accordingly, the athletics and field events of the respective tournament are scheduled to be held on October 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22 at Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo. The All Island School Sports Tournament is organized by the Sports Department of the Ministry of Education.
Competitions are scheduled for both boys and girls under the age limits of under 20 years, under 18 years, under 16 years and under 14 years.
Team sports and weight class sports belonging to this year's Games will be implemented under 03 stages. There will be 13 games under the first phase, 10 games under the second phase and 08 games under the third phase.
Accordingly, steps have been taken to start the first stage matches on September 15, the second stage matches on October 6 and the third stage matches on October 11.
This all-Ceylon school sports tournament is considered as an opportunity to recognize the talents of the school athletes represented in every province of Sri Lanka.
In addition to athletics, the " All Island School Games" consists of 31 other sports, and the total number of athletes who are going to participate in it is nearly 35,000.It is also special that athletes who have shown high performance at the national level as well as athletes who have represented Sri Lanka in international athletics competitions are also going to join it.
