Applications are now being accepted for the Eastern Province All Ceylon Open Badminton Championship conducted by the Eastern Province Badminton Association under the approval of the Sri Lanka Badminton Institute.Applications will be accepted until January 12 for this championship to be held from the 23rd to the 27th of the month at the Batticaloa Indoor Sports Complex.National Badminton will be held as a first tier tournament, in which all the athletes who are at the forefront of ranking in various categories are expected to participate.

The Eastern Province All Ceylon Open Badminton Championship will have junior age group from below 11 years to below 19 years, senior age group from above 30 years to above 70 years, combined age group of 100 years with female and male singles, doubles and mixed doubles competitions in the open division. Competition category included.Apart from this, the tournament will also include a championship event for the losers of the semi-finals in the women's and men's singles division.
The opening ceremony of the Eastern Province All Ceylon Open Badminton Championship will be held on January 23 at 9.00 am, after which the preliminary rounds will begin. The matches will be held on January 26 until the semi-finals and semi-finals.The exciting semi-finals and finals will take place on January 27, with the closing ceremony scheduled for that afternoon.
