Joining the 2025 National Powerlifting Tournament, Sri Lanka's Suren Perera has won the Bench Press Powerlifting Championship.
It is special that Suren has won the first place among 270 contestants. In that tournament, representing the 59 kg weight category, Suren lifted 132.5 kg and won the championship of this year's tournament.
The tournament was held on the last 15 and 16 days at the Cardiff University Sports Village in Wales. However, it was Suren Perera who claimed the championship in the tournament held last year.
